Narayana Murthy Born into a middle-class Kannada Hindu household, the entrepreneur started his journey.
After completing his school education, Narayana Murthy enrolled at the National Institute of Engineering, where he pursued a degree in electrical engineering.
Following his undergraduate studies in engineering, Narayana Murthy earned his master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur in 1969.
After serving as a research associate at IIM Ahmedabad, he co-founded Infosys in 1981 along with six other software professionals.
Narayana Murthy chaired the World Economic Forum in 2005 and received the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri awards.
